WayruNetwork: What to expect in Q1 & Q2
The year 2023 started on a good note for the crypto world, it gave hope of a bullish year. It is no more about cryptocurrencies, but about blockchain adoption. There has been an increase in people's interest as the blockchain has been solving real-life problems, and developers are busy building.
Wayru has been a project I have been following for many months now, and I must say that I have been impressed with the hard work the team has been putting in. Having to see a project pay attention to the problem it is solving and not about the token is rare to see, Wayru Network has not done its TGE but has been coming through in terms of service delivery.
I am a big fan of the blockchain and I use the opportunities that come my way to talk about the solution web3 offers, and how to get involved in it. Wayru Network is a project that offers its community to invest in providing Internet access for communities that needs one while earning for doing this. Having to use the Genesis device to earn $WRU tokens based on the number of devices connected to it and investing in pool tokens fascinates me a lot.
Important events to watch out for:
1. AirBlockers club:
The project will be launching a club for airblock owners soon enough. AirBlocks are NFTs on Algorand they are of unique illustrations and represents each owner bringing connectivity to everyone in emerging countries. Sales made from the sales of AirBlocks are used to provide low-income communities in Latin America access to the Internet.
AirBlockers get to have access to an exclusive platform, this is where first-hand information and perks like a discount on the project's product will be available. This will be a great use case for owning an AirBlock, costs only 66Algo right now.
2. Wayru token launch ($WRU)
This is expected to be in early Q2 2023. The team is currently focusing on generating revenue from network usage before approaching investors. The functionality of the project matters more than the token generation event for the team, which is a good sign.
The CEO of Wayru mentioned the fact that the project will be looking to avoid the situation of "pump and dump", which means the number of tokens to be sold in private and public sales will be reduced and directed toward the community. Most of the tokens will be earned and not bought, putting energy to earn $WRU will increase the probability of putting them to work(staking) rather than dumping them.

3. Mainnet
The testnet was launched in Q4 2022, where users are invited to stake pool tokens and witness how rewards will be accumulated when the mainnet launches. There is also a referral program that offers to pay 50 $WRU alongside your referral after the requirement is completed, still ongoing till the mainnet.
The mainnet will be in two parts; the Node Operators Mainnet Launch and Staking Mainnet Launch.
It will happen around the second Quarter of the year.
2023 will be a great year for Wayru, to join the community and participate in providing Internet access to users.
