Life as a web3 content writer found me, and I am glad it did. My name is Iyanuoluwa Okunade and I am passionate about content creation. Content creation to me is to bring others to a new knowledge in a way they can relate to. I believe in the simple and effective approach, where readers get what they are looking for and what they did not know they should be looking for.

I graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University as a degree holder in Chemistry, but I love writing. I once wrote a piece about a fiction story in my 200 level and the first person I showed it to wondered why I was not in the faculty of Art. I loved science and technology, I like reading journals and excerpts, especially the well-written ones. It is no surprise that I now create content on web3.

The journey started in 2017 when I was introduced to Steemit, it was a social media on web3. Users can post anything they want as long as the right tags are used, and writers earn when posts are voted on by others based on their voting power. I started slowly, then I understood decentralization and the Immutability features firsthand.

I spent time researching about the blockchain as a whole, especially the opportunity there for me. I had just finished university and needed a job, creating content has been very helpful to me since then. The opportunity to create content for a blockchain project came in 2020 from a project named ChangeNow, I made tweets and was paid for it.

Contents from then have been going on and I have grown as a writer. The goal for me is to write in a simple way for others to understand, I try as much as possible to stay away from complex words and explain if I have to. I am proud of my growth so far and I know I can do much better.

My next challenge is to work as a content creator for a blockchain project, and I am working towards that. I am grateful for web3 because I might not have been writing a great deal, and my creativity might not have been this sharp.

Cheers to better days ahead!
